I have had a few off days and yesterday was quite good but today awake at 4amwith nervousness all over body and general feeling of being unwell. Have made myself busy and it is now 9.30am and still feel twitchy. Has anyone got advice how to get rid of theses symptons quickly. I am taking Magnesium and for the last few days Holy Basil.

I curse the day I started this medication for my palpatations it is only 2,5mgs a day and I have only been on it three months before I was told I reduce it and stop taking it.

I was put on biso when I started to have tachycardia 4 years ago. (SVT)

I took it from February until May 2016.

I then decided to go for an ablation.I was told to just stop it 5 days prior to procedure. I asked if that was okay, and assured it was fine.

It was not fine. I went through hell with withdrawals.BUT, at the time I did not realize that this was withdrawal, and thought it was anxiety due to this new problem I had with my heart.

I was then put on a benzo and also trazodone and took those for about 18 months. I then had the grueling task of having to slowly wean off both of those for about 9 months, and then went through continued withdrawals for many many months after.

If I had realized that all those physical things going on in my body with withdrawals from bisoprolol, I would never have taken those other 2 foul drugs,

If lost about 3 years of my life to this

If I knew then what I know now.......

      Hi Shamiel

So sorry to hear you are still suffering biso withdrawal. I have now been off them totally for 14 months and my heart rate is still very unsettled. You will have off days but very gradually you will have more better days than bad ones. I was only on biso for 3 months but I have read that the longer you have been taking them the longer it takes your body to get back to normal but you will get there and it is really worth it to feel normal again
