Bisoprolol, Xanax withdrawal

Posted , 3 users are following.

i have been reading everything on their reviews and i have stopped xanax in june 2019 and aug 2019 got put on bisoprolol became extremely dizzy and low bp that in October 2019 weened off. my body feels really good now. i bike 6 miles walk 2.50 miles but my head is about to drive me insane. bouts if dizziness still, it got better but now it has returned and like a pulse or brief throbbing but it stops and that is a new symptom. every day is not the same. i keep telling myself it wasnt there before just body trying to adjust. then i get worried and make things worse. bp is good. ocassional spikes in the 150 because i work myself up but then it lowers. just how long can these weird feelings last. and the sound sensitivity is the worse it just started again about a week ago. all these symptoms i had earlier on are coming back, but not as severe but disturbing enough. i just cry and pray and try to keep going but it is wearing on me. and just overall sensitive to meds. please anyone reassuring advice us welcomed.

    Hi

I really sympathise with you. I am withdrawing from bisoprolol and it is going to be August before I am completely clear of them and even then I have been told to expect long rebound symptoms but I am assured that things do get better very very slowly. I am having a dreadful time withdrawing at the moment and dont have any quality of life as I cannot plan anything as two days are never the same. Most days I am either very lethargic or just feel very ill and I am getting very withdrawn where I dont even want to go out for fear of being unwell.

if ever you feel low and just want to talk about anything or even have a good moan just contact me I generally look every day for messages. It really helps to know you are not alone in your suffering

    Hi Melissa,

I am sorry you are going through this. I do understand though. You did not mention how much Xanax you were taking and for how long.

I went through horrid withdrawals from biso going cold turkey. My cardiologist told me it was just fine stopping it. It was not just fine. I did not realize these were withdrawals from the biso. I just thought it was anxiety.Got put on a benzo and trazodone. Took that for 18 months. Big mistakes!!!

I then had to wean off both of them which took 9 months, and still had withdrawals for about 20 months after I stopped.

If only I had realized this was biso withdrawal, I would have never have taken the other 2 drugs.

The most important thing to remember is that it does be better. Symptoms come, and symptoms go.

    Remember waves and windows.......

Secondly, please remember that the only thing that gets you through this is TIME and PATIENCE
