David- I had similar side effects when I first started it. After a few months, they went away. I still rarely feel dizzy spells, which don't last long. It's a small price to pay to avoid 205 bpm and a few days in the CCU...which happened to me 4 times.

Yikes, me too. I have extreme cold feet and numbing, off balance, blood pressure does dip quite low ( i am taking also other meds for blood pressure) and the worst is the tiredness and anxierty from it. Feel like I am just going through the motions right now. I think I have been on it for about 6 weeks. Worst drug ever. I am seeing EP epecialist in 3 weeks to agree to have the ablation done. He tells me I have AVNRT   This all just started in February. Hope I am making the right decision.

I had the same problem after my heart valve repair, my heart rate was very high but my consultant took on board that Bisoprolol affected my diverticular disease so never pushed me to take it.  However after a few months of very fast heart rate I decided to try the the lowest dose and it's been fine, my heart rate is down to 70 ish most days too so I am glad I tried it again! All the best to you, I think maybe the lowest dose would be best in your case.

In what way did it affect the diverticular disease? I too have this and I was on Bisoprolol for about 5 months till January.

I was prescribed furosemide and bisoprolol when my heart valve leak was found and I had the worst flare of diverticulitis ever, lost a stone and in bed for a week! So I knew it was caused by one of the tablets and stopped them both (as you know, no way do you want to 'see how things go' with different foods or medication etc as the subsequent flare is horrible!) obviously it was the furosemide water tab that did it!!!
