So without any trauma I see my toenail looks black, a quarter of the toenail from the cuticle to the side close to the other toe. Also the skin between the toes is looking dark.
I can't understand what happened as I have been home the past 2 days and haven't worn any shoes or suffered trauma.

It sounds as if you have knocked it tho you say you haven't, very odd, are you diabetic as understand that can sometime affect the toe nail. If it doesn't improve pop along to your Doctor & just ask for advice. Good luck!

No, not diabetic and haven't knocked it but I think it's a bruised nail. It's not hurting me either.
