Hi scooby,
Its the depletion of the good estrogen that keeps the vaginal and bladder areas free from those problems. Once those hormones decline bladder leakage is not uncommon. Women go from needing a pad for monthly periods to needing a pad daily for urine leakage. The right hormone replacement can help that problem along with the right doctor.

I agree with Jude, I have AV and had some leakage when I coughed or sneezed along with many other issues, my gyno put me on estrace cream and sent me to pelvic floor physical therapy. Worked pretty well. I had no idea there was a right and wrong way to do kegels, but there is. Also you need to exercise your pelvic floor too.. there's tons of videos for it. Or if you feel comfortable, ask about going to PT for it.. I learned at lot..
Good Luck!
