bladder infection

Hi everyone.

So last few days I was feeling unwell. I had some dizziness at times and weakness and just really tired. Yesterday I was feeling so sick and I have pain in my lower abdomen and around my back. Lets say very achy. And feeling nauseous. Went to out of hours doctor. Before I went I did have a feeling it was something to do with my kidneys. So went in and gave my urine sample and he put the little strip into my urine and it was almost straight away he was like yeah its a cystitis. But I thought he's meant to check the colour scale. But I didn't see him doing that. So now I'm thinking is that what's really wrong with me. Because usually when I go to my own doctor he always checks the colour scale. I'm thinking maybe he would know the colours and didn't have to check ?? I got an antibiotic and I've started it today but I'm still thinking about this all day and I don't know what I should do. And just to let u know since I was a baby I've always had kidney problems from the time I was born. So I've always had to get my urine tested every so often.so that's why I'm a bit worried. Thanks for ur advice in advance.

Well, the doctor diagnosed you with infections ( with leukoesterase in your urine) that causes systitis.

In this case I would trust your doctor. Maybe he is so familiar with the colors that he didn't feel that it was necessary to check it with the chart. Maybe
