Bladder infection or something else?

Hi,

Four weeks ago I got stuck in motorway traffic and was desperate to go to toilet for an hour.

Since then i have had pressure, constant urinating and clear urine, no stinging or burning when going.

Saw a doctor last monday who said thought it was a uti as a small trace of something showed in my urine. He wanted to give me fosfomycin. I declined as I am so sensitive to lots of medication. I explained I can only take amoxicillin or Augmentin. I haven’t taken Augmentin for many years. When I got home, read up about Augmentin and was a little worried about taking it again after all this time, so I had a course of amoxicillin 500mg at home which my GP kindly lets me keep for my chronic sign infections.

I finished the amoxicillin yesterday and it hasn’t improved. What I don’t understand is, if I take some ibuprofen, it does calm the feeling in my bladder down. Do I now be brave and take the Augmentin to see if that helps?

This doesn’t sound like normal cystitis to me.

Any advice would really be appreciated. Thank you

    just to add, I have stopped drinking so much, so thats

    cant be the reason my urine is clear...
