bladder pain, no UTI

I had a UTI and finished the meds three weeks ago. One week after I finished them, I went to urgent care because I my neck hurt and my bladder was bothering me. They did a urinalysis and culture and everything was negative.

The last few days, my bladder started bothering me but it’s more pain near my urethra and nothing else. I ran out of probiotics earlier this week, so I’m wondering if that could be causing it. I’ve also made poor food choices - chocolate alcohol and soda.

I have a urologist appt Wednesday and I’m wondering if they will test for bacterial vaginosis/yeast or if I’ll need to go to gyno for that? Would appreciate advice from anyone who’s been through similar. Thanks!

    Hello megsi99,

I'm curious, have you found out anything from the urologist appointment? I keep having trouble with UTI infections too, it seems I get one every few weeks! So frustrating it is, but, it's partly my own fault too, maybe totally my own fault, because like you, I keep making bad food choices too. I know that sugar aggravates things like this but I can't seem to leave some things alone. I love eating waffles with eggs and maple syrup and although I'm using products that have alternate sugars, they're still sugars and I know they're bad for things like this. We need to drink more apple cider vinegar and lemon water, that'll help. Keeping the system more alkaline seems to help and staying away from sugary products. I'd love to hear what you've found out so far. Take care <3
