Hi, I had a rectocele repair in October last year. I've had a lot of water infections and thrush. I've been to the doctors several times because I've been so uncomfortable. I've been convInced quite a few times that my repair has failed somewhere but been examined and told everything is normal. It doesn't feel normal. I have discomfort after I urinate every time. I can't really describe it. It's not stinging or burning but feels like pressure. I also feel this when I need to urinate. I am also feeling very swollen in that area and up the front. My doctor doesn't seem to "get it". I saw a different doctor this week as I have another water infection and blood in my urine. She said I could possibly have some sort of nerve damage. She said everything looks normal though.when they took the catheter out in hospital it hurt like hell. But if that caused problems I thought it would have healed by now. I haven't even dared have intercourse as I've been to scared. I'm going back to the doctors on Monday as I'm also getting shooting pains throughout my whole pelvic floor area. Hope it gets better for you.

Hi pam, I've just been to see my doctor. She examined me and said I have no lumps or bumps in the vagina. All normal there, thank god. My biggest fear is that awful prolapse coming back. I did have a bit of discharge. She tested my urine and said I have blood and white blood cells in it. So I've got more antibiotics. On the outside my urethra looks normal. So she said she would refer me to a urologist. So they can look at my bladder and urethra. She also said it could possibly be nerve damage and in these sorts of operations it's not uncommon, she also said I may have slight damage from when they pulled the catheter out. But she also told me that sometimes water infections and thrush are quite common occurrences after this type of operation for the unlucky few. (Me). Hopefully a urologist may shed some light on this. Just got to wait and hope these antibiotics make me feel a bit better. Good luck at work. I have decided not to go back to my job. I was a cleaner at a holiday resort and it's hard work. Lifting heavy buckets and dragging hovers about. I've been lucky my doctor has been signing my sick notes. I've had nearly 25 weeks off now. Everyone heals differently. Because of my constant discomfort I've turned into a hermit. I need to get back to normal. Take care, hope it gets better for you.

Hello Pam, I know this is an old post but I was wondering what happened and if you felt Better? Did the frequency feeling go away? What was your outcome? I have felt the same thing thing for a month now after a tube removal surgery. Been on antibiotics, seen urologists, have a tiny bit of white blood cells and blood in my urine but no infection. No pain just that uncomfortable feeling of always needing to go to the bathroom. No one knows what's wrong. Just wondering what your outcome was? Please get back to me!
