hallo!   I used some vaginal estrogen yesterday, recommended by my urogynae and last night saw spots of blood on my pjs!! Today when I wipe myself there is light red blood.   I believe this is from using the estrogen but am still scared!!

All has gone so well with a good report on my post op and now this arghhh.......why did I use this stuff !

carole you no longer have a uterus so it's unlikely the bleeding is anything to worry about however it needs checking out if it continues. It could even be due to a rogue stitch that's been lingering about in the pelvic area. x

Thankyou Matron, I read on the instructions that one of the side effects is bleeding and being as I had only just used it, I put two and two together.  It was still light this morning when I wiped but not as bad as yesterday.  I will continue to check.  Could the Vagifem pill insertion have been placed too high up and caused sensitive tissue to bleed?

On my post op 4 weeks ago, there was 'some stitch ends palpable in the upper vagina' .....not sure if they have come away as yet.

      Thankyou again.

You couldn't insert the pessary too high but it still could have irritated the vaginal wall. It could be your sutures as well carole x

Thankyou Matron, I phoned my consultant's rooms today, and she is going to find out for me hopefully tomorrow.    In the meantime I am seeing the physio at urogynae on Friday and was told I could have a word with her too.

Sorry to keep on,  but it if it is the stitches, what does this mean?

Don't worry if it's the stitches carole because it's fairly common to get a bleed when they start to come away. It's typical of dissolving sutures. Your wound will be healing very well now x
