Bleeding after Rubber Band Ligation

Hi. I had a rubber band ligation done in Sept 2022 to deal with a couple of hemorroids I had. After 3 weeks I had heavy bleeding. Over the course of an afternoon I had a blood diarrhea about 8 times. I ended up in hospital due to the blood loss. I was let go from hospital after a couple of days because the bleeding had stopped that afternoon and they were happy it had stopped.

However I did not really get an answer as to why it happened, is it likely to happen again.

It was a real shock to me and since then I'm eating fibre cereals, some more fruits etc.

Its been 4 weeks since then and apart from a few occassions where I have had some spotting my new lifestyle changes have helped.

Hopefully it'll continue but its left me scarred it will happen again.

Has anyone ever experienced what happened to me?
