Bleeding in the stool? Can this be serious, need some help please.

My stomach has been bad these days and I was going to the toilet more normal than often, yesterday I noticed my anus was kind of burning, then today I saw blight blood just above the feces, they didn't seem related I think. I am a 20 years old male that is INCREDIBLY anxious, my health anxiety is very bad. Now all I can do is think of cancers tumors or some other bad illness and I cannot visit the doctor for 4 straight days, the upcoming 2 are weekend and monday and tuesday are free due to national celebration... What should I do?? After finishing the stool I once more feel the little burning down there..

You said you had been going to the bathroom more than normal. Was it constipation or diarehha?! And do you feel pain when you poke your finger in the rectum (the passage between the anus and the top of the butt crack?! Mine used to hurt me like a passing knife whenever I do a bowel movement and definitely when I poke it, it was  excrutianingly painful. My diagnosis was 2 chronic anal fissures which I had to do a surgery to let them heal since they turn chronic

    Hello heisenberg69,

bright blood usually dictates an anal fissure. But good idea to see a doctor anyway. An anal fissure is a small tear in the anal sphincter. And is not fun. You are young, so if that is what it is, and taken care of properly, you should be fine. When mine happened in 2013, it scared the crap outta me, no pun intended. Not much the doc can do but ease your mind.

It is caused by constipation and diarrhea, basically straining either way. It takes a while to heal, depending on the severity, yours sounds fairly mild. what I did,(I was alergic to the nifedipine cream the doc gave me, another story, another time), I took two baths a day with coconut oil and Epsom salt, for about 20 minutes each time, and did that for about a month. I cut back to one bath after that, but still took at least one bath a day for the next month, and occasionally when needed after that.

And to this day, after every shower I use a q-tip with hydrogen peroxide, and then a q-tip with vaseline, I clean it, and coat it well everyday. I've only had two less debilitating flare ups since 2013. Make sure you are drinking a lot of water.. Good luck to you!!

My proc doc told me 94% of the population will have this...
