Bleeding with crohns?

Hi,

I've had crohns for around 11 years, diagnosed for 9 years. After nothing working I had an ileo-ceacal resection in 2013. I've been in remission since, however have been having bits of bleeding. Bleeding has never been a symptom for me. My crohns is in ileum and colon. I was just wondering what crohns bleeding is like? Is it constant or intermittent? Just waiting for my stool tests results to come back. Praying it's nothing, I've been so lucky to be in remission for so long! Thank you 😃

    Hi,

My main symptom is usually bleeding, that and urgency and frequency. For me it started on and off and soon became that i was going probably 15 times a day, mainly just to pass blood. At the time i didnt know i had Crohns and the doctor diagnosed piles! I ended up in a & e and nearly lost my bowel. Luckily for me i responded really well to medication and am currently in remission (3 years) and just gone medicine free!

My bleeding was always bright red and there would be quite a lot of it. Before i was admitted to hospital i bled for 8 weeks.

I hope that things turn out ok for you, keep us informed of your results.

    Sara
