Bleeding with media coil

Hello again friends, i need help have any of you been fitted with the merina coil post menopausally. I got fitted with it a year past in May when they were removing a polyp from my womb under general anaesthetic.

What i would like to ssk is have any of you had some light bleeding, i bled for some weeks after it and in the August i bled slightly and the nurse practitioner said no worries it might be a hormonal thing , then in June this year i had spots for one day and overnight last night i had some light bleeding.

The thing that worries me is when they put me under to get that done they may have had trouble waking me as i was first down to theatre and last up, they just had me on oxygen for a while gave me a pamphlet that told me about the coil and sent me home no chance to ask any questions and the now very unlikely to see a doctor.

If any of you ladies can help me out id be very grateful.

You must feel so anxious. Can you ask your nurse practioner? I am 51 years old & had a mirena coil put in two years ago. I was perimenopausal at the time & it was needed to stop bleeding. I needed transfusions. I had periods up until March of last year so 18 months. No spotting or bleeding since then. My OBYGYN told me to come back after 5 years & she would remove it. No other advice except to say I may or may not bleed or spot. Sorry I haven't been any help.
