Blepharitis cured and disappeared for 15 years.

15 years ago when I was an adolescent I had very bad Blepharitis. I was told by my doctor to use the Optrex eye bath. I was sceptical as we all know how persistent Blepharitis is. However after about one month of using Optrex, (the standard original bottle, I think they have a few different brands now) twice daily. My Blepharitis was completely cured my eyelids were perfect and stayed that way for 15 years. I'm not sure if it will work for everyone as I think there are different strains of Blepharitis out there but if you haven’t tried it then give it a go. Its over the counter the medicine in the UK. The Optrex eye bath always felt cooling and soothing when I used it, but if irritates your eyes then stop using it. Like I said it worked for me hopefully it will work for you.

I already placed my story in another Blepharitis discussion but I will do it again, so hopefully more people can read it and might even 'cure'.
I have been suffering from Blepharitis for almost three years.
I don't really have the dry eyes, but constant inflammation of the eyelids.
After trying nummerous of products, I discovered a cream that supresses the inflammation: udder cream.
I think it's the triclosan that does the trick, it workes perfect for me. (I can even wear make up again).
I apply it on my eyelids before I go to bed and the next morning I won't wake up with inflammation anymore. I use it for over a year now.
Unfortunately triclosan isn't the best ingredient (google it), so I'm still searching for something natural that works the same.
I made a salve today of beeswax and castoroil (warm one teaspoon beeswax and 3,5 teaspoons of castoroil au bain marie, then put it in a small jar or whatever, and let it cool.
I'll try it and place an update if it works as well as the udder cream!
I wish you all good luck.

I live in Holland and you can buy uddercream in every drugstore, but I don't know if that's the same for the U.K.
You won't need a prescribtion, I think it's the easiest way to buy it online for you if it's not available in the drugstores.
By the way, I tried my mix of Beeswax and Castor oil and it works the same as the uddercream! I've tried castor oil before, but just the oil doesn't do the trick for me, while mixed with beeswax it does!
So I hope this might work for one another, good luck!
