Blips and Morning anxiety

Posted , 3 users are following.

Had a breakdown I suppose that lasted over 6 months and simmered for even longer.

Thing is I have tried a bunch of meds and nothing really worked...CIT/VENLA/MIRT/DIAZ

It's been two weeks since i tapered Diazepam and I won't be going on them again....thing is, I understand the advice to folk on the meds of their choice that recovery is not a straight line and there will be many "blips" and bad days before the meds kick in and start to work

My question is, if i am now out of the worst of the anxiety/depression will the same rule of "blips" good days/bad days, apply to me even although I am not taking any medication?

I can expect the same path/course of recovery and expect to ride the waves for a while before the waters calm once again?

Having some good days and some nights feel very normal then...WHAMMO! next morning at 7:30 anxiety/depression hits like a freight train

So this is to be expected by those in recovery, with AND without medication treatment, in the normal course of events?

Thanks folks and take care

hi saltire, i can understand your reluctance to take medication it's been proven that it works for a few weeks then stops. no where in here did i see your back up support or help like counselling etc to go with the meds? were you offered any? i have anxiety and definitely depression, i use a place called the richmond fellowship and have appointments with people there who speak to you and give you strategies to help you. have you tried them, they are on social media and there is a waiting list but there better than any medication. if they can't help they may suggest somewhere that can oh and they're free. good luck, with or without medication you can get through this...🤞🤞🤞
