I find if i eat too many carbs in one day i feel exactly the same, try cutting down on the bread for a while and see how you feel.

Maybe try doing a food diary and see which foods effect u the worst and cut them out for a few weeks.

Yes definitely try a food diary because you will realise what things do affect you, you can either cut them out completly or reduce intake. Let me know how u get on x

maybe just try taking some things out if your diet and see how that affects u too x

Hi annj and hollyworrier, sometimes it's food intolerances rather than allergies per se. A scratch test can help identify allergies and immunoglobulin tests can help with intolerances. There is some debate about the efficacy of them but they've helped me get to a satisfactory diet which reduced symptoms drastically.

The first exclusion to try might be lactose, if not all diary. Which is why the Cappuccino may have been a problem. There's lactose free milk, or almond and rice milk.

Also gluten, if not all wheat products. There are Freeform and Genius brands that help.

Consider gastritis as well which can cause severe pain and is easily remedied with medication from your GP.

      These were my starting points.

I try to cut out bread completely and that helped a lot and milk, I only have almond milk as dairy milk effects me so much.

My problem is that I take Imodium everyday because I tend to get a bad belly every morning, but this could be down to my anxiety problems and not food. Am now back on tablets for it so will see how I go, but changing what I eat really helps or just by cutting out certain things.

Will have a look at getting free from and gluten free things.

      Thanks for the advice.

My pleasure just what worked for me after prolonged trials. Sorry to hear about the anxiety problems but it's good you're getting support.

A clear diagnosis is best. The horrible pain in the stomach was gastritis. Sometimes Imodium can help and sometimes it has caused a blockage, so diet helped regulate that in the main.

      Hope you find some peace.

Thank you, I have friends and family around me that support me through the rough times of the anxiety amd to help me on the mend. So fingers crossed it gets better soon.

I know taking the Imodium everyday is prob not good but it helps, how can u get the tests done? Do u have to go to hospital or can it be done at the doctors? I'd be interested to know if I am allergic to anything.

      That's good to hear.

I had my tests done privately abroad when I was working there. It's worth asking your GP at first, who to approach about the scratch or immunoglobulin tests. It might be helpful to research some of this online so you're clear what they are. I've also had a few dietitians and I found that in the end they spoke to the general population, rather than specifically to my condition. That's why I felt more information about my condition would be helpful.

I will ask my doctor about it when I next go, thanks for the advice.
