bloating

Does anyone else experience extreme bloating on trimethoprim?

I have also been prescribed it for a UTI, and only a 3 day 200mg dose. Does anyone else find the same?

    Hi just found the board tonight and read your message, yes horrible bloating along side the nausea, not what we need when we feel dreadful enough.

    Taken my first tablet today, got from emergency doctors so no information sheet included. I have tonight started to feel bloated and uncomfortable. I have bachache, stomach ache and headache. Happpy days!

    I have taken trimethoprim for a UTI for 3/4 days now, have never been prescribed these before. The first day I took them I developed a migraine and was vomiting ( I do suffer from migraines but not with vomiting).Yesterday I felt like I was going to die, I felt nauseas and had the most horrendous pains in my stomach and chest and back. I have really bloated also and feel sick all the time with waves of nausea in my stomach, I still have a few days to finish the course and will persevere as have to go into hospital next week for a small operation so can't be having infections. I have an appointment at my doctors on Friday so I will then find out if it is the trimethoprim that is making me feel so ill.
