Blocked ears after ear infection-changes...?

hi all, I've had a double ear infection which has left me with blocked ears and neck tension. the doctor has basically said to give it time (about 6 weeks so far) but this morning I've woken up with a swishing liquid sort of noise in my left ear. it's not all the time but every now and then. I'm guessing this isn't a sign it's getting better. does anyone else have this - I have a doctors appointment in a few weeks which is the earliest non urgent appointment I could get but I'm wondering if I should ring up Monday to get looked at sooner.

    Talking about ringing... It could be tinnitus, pretty annoying but not harmful. Usually it should go away when the infection clears.

    I would get seen asap, for a minority, it stays for a very long time, years.

    I've had mine for over 3 years.

    The quick thing to take is 20mg of Prednisone for 20 days.
