Blocked escutcheon tubes and the valsalva maneuver

Hey all,

I've had titinus for around 9 months now, I get clicking when swollowing, dizzy when moving my eyes, balance issues, the feeling of ears being full and pressure changes. I've also heard the sound of fluid moving in my ear when chewing.

I've recently performed the valsalva maneuver a few times, my left ear opens fine but my right makes all sorts of popping noises and is harder to open. After doing the valsalva maneuver I get very dizzy and light headed for a few seconds, what does this mean? Also after mentioning the above, is it possible I have blocked escutcheon tubes?

I've had Tinnitus for 18 months. I have the same symptoms as you, minus the dizziness. I've seen 4 ENTs and 3 of them say my negative ear pressure is not enough for them to conclude I have ETD.

One of them said I do have it, not really bad but if it's bothering me, then yes, it's bad enough to at least seek some sort of treatment. He did say thought that my Tinnitus is most likely noise induce related and not due to the ETD.

He gave me Azelastine, to spray two times a day. I've been taking it for two weeks. The first few days I noticed it did help but lately, I still have the same symptoms.

Aren't Tinnitus and dizziness common symptoms of Meniere's?

The Valsalva maneuver lowers blood pressure for  a few seconds.  Blood pressure then rises and lowers again.  This is causing your lightheadedness.  It's a normal after effect of this maneuver.  You might want to try doing it less strenuously.  You very well may have ETD.

    Hey all,

Well as of right now my ringing in my ears has got quite loud, I've moved my eyes and has now caused me nausea. (The ballance and nausea has only happened the past week and a half, while the ringing in my ear has been on and odd since last december). If I move my eyes I feels dizzy with what feels like an electrical sensation in my head. I feel pressure in my right eyes tear duct, sometimes it can be above my right eye, almost like were your sinus are.

I've had to head to bed because I'm starting to feel unwell. Can this still be ESD? an infection maybe? I've even read that strained neck muscles can cause issues ( my neck is sore to moment.)

Sorry for the bad presention. I've had to write this on my phone.

    Any advise would be helpful.

for the past 2 months i have ringing in both of my ears and its constant.  Before that i had dizziness and some days i had mild vertigo when i sleep and turn over. I also have some kind of pressure on face and below the eye.  I also have gallstones . so not sure if this is related or isolated issues.
