I get this frequently but I’m not sure I can always blame meno. Occasionally it’s a sinus thing. There have been times I’ve gone to the minute clinic convinced I had an ear infection only to learn my ears were clear. I wonder sometimes if it’s related to TMJ syndrome. When I’m anxious (thanks to meno!) I grind my teeth. This can cause ear pressure, headache etc.

Yes I agree with Teri76755.. I also have same symptoms blocked ears, ringing, headache. It's TMJ syndrome, it flared up because of the anxiety and panic attacks and teeth grinding at night. It's one thing after another, my anxiety is much better now but the ear symptoms and headache are still lingering around. Hopefully it will pass soon.

Have you tried any medication for your TMJ headaches? I try to wear a night guard but it doesn't really help much.

The past two cycles I had migraines with a full feeling behind my left eye like it was pumped full of air. It was very painful and uncomfortable plus I had the sinus pain and pressure in throughout my head.

Oh yes,  i’ve had that a couple times in the last two years or so… It was very nerve-racking so I took Advil plus Sudafed for maybe two days and that really helped a lot. It wasn’t necessarily a cold or anything just ears and head pressure. I would say it lasted less than a week each time. And I tried not to think about it although I know that’s obviously very hard. It goes on it’s on..ugh..I do remember feeling that “wait this can’t be just a perimenopause symptom” but it really is..our bodies change so much at this time, it affects all systems of our body.

I've had this a few times and each time it sort of lingers for what seems like weeks and then suddenly I just realize my ears aren't blocked anymore. I used to think  it was water stuck in my ears, but any time I had  them checked they were clear. Doctor claims it must be allergies, but who knows!

Thanks all for your replies and most grateful. Been to Gp and as i thought, sinus related with imflamation in the canals of my noise and sinus area ....got a steriod spray. We are prone to sinus issues due to less musus in our noise due to hormone changes and this i knew but my ears felt awful with off balance, not able to hear right and felt as if ears were about to burst. First time for this and it can take up to six weeks to go!! Anyways at least in know now

Thank you my memo sisters. Xo CK
