Blocking Gabapentin in the body

Posted , 4 users are following.

I have been on Gabapentin for about 16 years now. In the past few years i have had some lousy episodes which I think could be down to something stopping the medicine getting through. What do you find that can cause gabapentin working and then giving you the feelings of cold turkey?.

No idea. But if you miss a dose you could have withdrawal symptoms, changes in the manufacturer could cause the same thing. But gab can turn on you anytime and create new side effects. I had to have the same maker, or I'd have problems. There's a tolerance, wiggle room, for the generics as far as actual levels of the active drug and other fillers.

I had the same problem a year ago. Doc upped by 300mgs. Symptoms went away after the next dose. Good luck. 
