This morning i went to the ER for chest pain. The nurse who drew my blood threw out a urine sample that wasnt mine and then continued to draw my blood without putting gloves or washing his hands.
he did use an antiseptic wipe but pressed with his thumb for the vein after.
i asked my dr and the nurse and was told not to worry and just watch for infection for a day. but i am so so worried.

that was not good practice on his part, however I think you’re gonna be OK. The chances are low that you would get any kind of infection. just for your peace of mind, if you feel very poorly in the next several days or so then you can let your doctor know. But I don’t think you’re gonna have a problem.
