blood from salivary duct

I have had an inflamed submandicular gland on the left side for months. Two weeks ago blood started coming out of my parotid gland on the right side. I have slight swelling in the cheek and neck below the ear. CT scan and ultrasound showed no stones or cysts. Doctor and dentist are confused. They have no idea what is going on. The assure me that if it was cancer I would have more swelling and it would show on the scans. I can't find anything on what causes blood to come from a salivary duct. Everyone just says it is rare. But I am just wondering if anyone has had this experience and what it was.

I never had anything green or mucusy coming out of my gland. In regards to answers, I saw many specialists and had many tests and no one seemed to know what it was. For me, I started tracking my diet and noted things that caused the inflammation, the pain, and the blood. While doctors and being well intentioned, I don't think she should be sucking on lemons or candy as this is just aggrevating the gland.
I used heat on my face (warmed up magicbag) to releave pain. I used Advil, no other pain killer worked. I then went on an elimination diet. I found that pears and bananas made the symptoms worse. I eventually went off of dairy, sugar and fruit for over a year. This helped significantly to the point that I did not require pain killers any more and blood stopped coming out of the gland. I did see an allergist and he did not find that I was allergic to anything.
And while many people thought I was crazy for going off of sugar and dairy, I was able to do it because those foods brought pain. I think those foods caused inflammation in me.
I have to make sure I relax and eat well.
I would also think that it is possible that it may be a yeast infection in her gland and the antibiotics may be making it worse. She should get the area swabbed to find out.
