Blood groups question

I've just had a baby and on my maternal discharge notes it says my blood group is A positive. I've always thought i must be O positive as both my parents and my brother are all O positive but I've never had a blood test until I was pregnant. From a quick search online it says two O positive parents cannot have an A positive child. Is that correct? Surely I'm not adopted as I look too similar to the rest of the family, I'm just worried the hospital have the wrong info down and if I needed a transfusion they could end up giving me the wrong blood.
