Blood in stool

For a while now I have found blood on my toilet paper but as far as I can tell not in my stool, I have trouble seeing the difference with browns and reds so I am not 100%. I have taken a blood test which came back as nothing wrong but I still can't help but worry, I know chances are its just nothing bad but doing all these online symptom checkers make me paranoid it could be worse than it really is. I have also been having some tailbone pain when I sit down too long and sometimes after going to the toilet I feel a burning feeling within my stomach. Should I go back to my doctor or am I being overly paranoid over what is most likely sitting down too much, haemorrhoids or wiping too hard and just normal stomach pain?

Hi Matt sorry to hear this. I would go back to the doctor and see about getting a colonoscopy. That is my opinion but I'm not a doctor. Sometimes we have to be our own advocate. Diane

Hello, thank you for your responses. A small update I have an appointment to see a doctor about this but since posting this post I haven't had blood in my stool apart from one time when I wiped too hard, I found a busted spring on my mattress at exactly tailbone height and the burning feeling only really has been coming when I drink fizzy drinks or eat something with garlic in it, I am not too sure if I should still be worried but my GP seems not to be as he said it wasn't necessary to see a specialist anymore based on these facts, would you still recommend me to go to the appointment for safe measures or should I just disregard it as all previous symptoms are gone or explained?

Since you already have the appointment I would go but that's just me if you have insurance why not better to be safe and a second opinion is always good
