Blood in urine

Please help me, I'm actually going out of my mind. I have severe health anxiety anyway but have recently noticed that my urine has been fairly orange. So I bought some dipsticks from online and tested over 2 days every one came back as positive for blood. Yesterday I went to the urgent care at the hospital as I knew I wouldnt get a doctors appointment for at least 2 weeks.
The doctor confirmed that there is blood from another dipstick test. He has ruled out infection, kidney stones and prostate (this was his original thought but a psa test was in normal range) and has basically said there is a possibility that it could be something more serious and now I'm out of my mind with worry. I can't eat, I can't sleep. I'm continuing with the diptests at home, and every one shows the presence of blood. He did say that some people present with blood but never find a cause but I can't find anything that corroborates this.
He has basically left it that I should go back to my doctors in two weeks to test for blood again and then get a referral to a urologist
Is there anyone that has experienced similar? I'm really suffering and not in a good place

Sorry to hear that you are suffering. I suggest that you go back to your GP. He/she should have done you an urgent referral to see a urologist. You will need to have a cystoscopy to rule out any problems with the lining of your bladder. But this isn’t anything to worry about and best that they do it. Try hard not to worry. Say a prayer and stay calm.
Hope everything works out for the best.

Thanks Sam, the doctor at urgent care said he wasn't putting me for way for a two week referral because the prostate test was clear. He said to see my doctor again in two weeks and get another blood test done.

You should not have to wait two weeks for a doctors appointment especially when you suffer from health anxiety.
Ring the surgery and insist on speaking to the doctor unless they will give you an urgent appointment, if they refuse ask to speak to the practice manager.
I have seen both a urologist and a gynaecologist with my health concerns and after having a cystoscopy on my bladder I received the correct diagnosis and treatment which my doctor had been unable to do.
I am waiting to see a bowel specialist at the moment and like you fearing the worst.
Dont wait around worrying, see you doctor, get referred if necessary, get sorted and put your mind at rest.
Take care of yourself.

Thanks Lynn Unfortunately my doctors are very reluctant to refer me for anything. There is only one doctor at my surgery that understands the fact that I suffer from health anxiety but it's so difficult to get an appointment with her.

Its your health and wellbeing and you need to look after yourself.
Ring the surgery, get seen and get sorted.
