Blood in urine

Read all the comments but haven’t seen this one. My husband had prostate cancer and cancer of the salivary glands 3 years ago. May or may not be significant. I will try to be brief.........about 3 months ago blood appeared in urine. Quite a bit each time he pee. Got a CT scan without contrast........found nothing........given pills for infection(At VA Miami). Blood cleared up........came back after medicine completed........meantime urology appt. was 3 months Later! Blood so bad this time went to emergency room. I do believe that’s when he was given CT scan. Presently traveled to our doctors in another city. Cystography given today 5 Dec.....saw urologist last week and blood has increased significantly and relayed to urologist we saw last week. Urologist suspected tumor on bladder..........no tumor..........sent us to get lab work done....."get another CT scan WITH CONTRAST since my husband didn’t get previous repot as he was told too...........so..........now we see Dr. again on Thursday and praying we can find out where all this blood is coming from! He has no pain............blood blood and more blood I said the only symptom. Anyone else who has experienced these symptoms................response would be greatly appreciated. We believe God is our motto..............

Hi Zoom
I am praying that you will get answers soon. Has your husband had blood work done to check for tumor markers
and if possibly the prostrate is acting up again. I would suggest having labs done as a precautionary due to the
previous cancer he had. What I find frustrating is that after going to the VA and informing them of all this Blood
he is passing, it sounds like he is now at home waiting for more tests. With his past history, I would think they
would have admitted him, and then ran tests til they found the cause. No tumor on the bladder, ok fine, but what about the kidneys?? Keep after these Doctors and don't give up. Can you find a relation in what is happening right now, in comparison to three years ago? Do you suspect that it could be the prostrate again? Keep me posted, and You Both are in my Prayers. Stay diligent on this. ~ Faith

Thank you for your prayers. Forgot to give an update...........Urologist tested him for everything..................kidney was last test.......blood all looked good......... o cancer cells etc...............end result is the cyber knife on his prostate in 2015 is causing the bleeding. It’s a delayed result and may be something he hasn’t to live with. The blood has almost ceased this time...........he also has an enlarged prostate. Urologist will send results to Georgetown Dr. who administered cyber knife. I personally want to talk to him or have my husband talk to him. Although he insists the urologist will send results my question is “has he seen this happen with previous patients “. My husband thinks I’m too inquisitive and let the system work but...........past experience tells me no matter how qualified you must take YOUR OWN health in your hands..........so now at least the DR. co-signed on going to outside drs. In our town. We have xcellent insurance and he should be seeing specialists! Well..........hope my experience helps someone....................only one life to live.............🌹🌹
