blood pressure after fibroid removal

I went for my follow up appt this week with my gynecologist. She removed two fibroids two weeks ago. Before she came to the room the assistant took my blood pressure and it was extremely high, it shocked me. I havent had high blood pressure before. Now I am going to Primary care to see about the blood pressure. however I got to thinking that maybe the fibroid removal decreased my estrogen and that affected the blood pressure? has anyone had a similar experience?

I am 47, so perimenopausal as well.
