Blood Pressure high

Been tacking 5mg Amlodipine for years, in October this year had pitted oedema in both feet first time.

Never had a med review from GP, ecg and blood test came back normal. Gp took Amlodipine from 5mg to 10 mg over the phone, two days later in hospital with rare allergic reaction. Caused by Amlodipine

Then gp gave prescription for 50mg Losartan after three weeks no Bp control was gained. Now on 100mg of Losartan last four readings 151/102 156/102 157/100 154/101 absolutely no control.

Bad head aches and sleepy a lot, and readings adding to the stress. Heart disease in my family dad dead

at 57 and brother had by pass surgery .Why is Losartan not working for me. any advice please
