Hi

has anyone had CACNA1A testing? I've had me results and there is a slight alteration in the Heterozygous gene...anyone knows what that means?!

    Hi Joanne, I've just googled it, there seems to be a connection with hemiplegic migraines. You might have to be a scientist to understand it though. You need to get your GP to explain it to you.

      Thanks! Seeing my consultant on Thurs. Had an MRI today so be getting results for that also.

      Saw Consultant today..MRI scan normal (thankfully), says I have Eposodic Ataxia & Hemiplegic migraines as the meds I take for both seem to be working ish...parents are to be tested for the faulty gene and depends on the results, depends on how we go forward. If both parents are clear then I have EA?? All very confusing....I'm to up my HM meds. Already take double my EA meds....😱
