Blood test says postmenopausal but still having periods

I am 55 and have not gone 12 months without a period.....will have them about every 3 months...2022 had 4....blood work "screams menopause" is what my gyne said but have never gone 12 months without.....she is now having me do transvaginal ultrasound with endometrial biospy....I have no symptoms and I don't feel bad...just normal flow and duration when I have my period....I also have just been dx with Hashimotos after about 10 years of hypothyroidism......I am very concerned since my gyne said I should not be still having periods....anyone else have experience with this??
