hello i had forms through the post can someon tell me how often i need to have blood tests done

    Hi carol. Depends which ones you mean. In my area they the path labs will only do the rheumatoid factor blood test at 6 monthly intervals. Not sure about the others but it comes down to cost rather than clinical need.

      hello i just started meds and the blood test are to make sure liver and kidnys are sill ok

      i am taking sulfasalizine  i was sentt 3 forms through the post from the hospital so i am thinking maybe i need to go each month witth each form i have to see the ra doctor in 2 months so maybe that is it i haveonly been on medication 10 days so maybe that is it

      Didn't the doctor write when you should do them on the forms?

      I would guess it is to be done every month and one spare in case your appt is late.  Are the same boxes ticked on each form?

      no there is no dates on forms it must be a month for the first one

      Unless you can ring the clinic and ask,  I would do them monthly, making sure that you do one about a week before your next appt, then they have an up to date result.
