Blood tests

A month ago I developed bad muscle pains. It was difficult to decide if it was the statins I started 6 months ago, or a bone infection had returned, or whether polymyalgia rheumatica of 9 years ago had returned. My GP, with blood tests, went for the polymyalgia and I started on 15mg of prednisone.

I often get what feels like big hot flushes.This also happened 2 years ago when I had the bone infection, which I would hate to have again. On Tuesday I am having blood tests. Please can anyone help me know which blood tests I could particularly check they will do (CRP/ White blood cell count..any others?) which may go some way to confirming it is polymyalgia rheumatica rather than bone infection again? Thank you.
