Blood tests can showthe function of the gallbladder, liver, and pancreas. Levels of the pancreatic enzymes amylase and lipase can be measured. Blood tests can also check for signs of related conditions, including infection, anemia (low blood count), and dehydration. Also glucose levels - if they're raised can show pancreas problems.

Lab ranges vary somewhat depending on the laboratory performing the tests. That being said, the average range for Amylase is 30-100 IU/L. The range for Lipase is 15-51 IU/L. During acute Pancreatitis the levels are very, very high but return to normal in a few days.

Yes blood test will check pancreas providing the doctors ask for this type of test. A full blood count won't check.
