Hoping crp and pv readings are down, if not Rheumy will be offering more drugs, I won't take Methotrexate after last time, it does not agree with me, I think he might up my Sulfasalazine if needed, does naproxen help anybody on this site, I take it when having trouble, seems ok.

I take it every 12 hours. I'm afraid not to! I'm still missing work at least once a week with pain or just feeling crappy. I'm going to ask at my appointment if this is the best plan or if I should do something else.

I tend to take it when I need that bit extra, because I do suffer from stomach problems and Naproxen might be what's causing it my GP thinks.

I'm on leflunomide and naproxen. Take the naproxen every 12 hours. It does help, I missed a dose once and found out! The only bad thing is if I have a headache or something I haven't been able to take anything. Asking at my appointment on Tuesday.
Does the sulfasalazine work for you? I couldn't handle the methotrexate side affects. The leflunomide isn't doing much of anything yet.

I've Been on Sulfasalazine for 15 years when I was first diagnosed with RA, my GP put me on Naproxen I haven't had any bad side effects from Sulfasalazine in all that time, but my inflammation has been rising lately and Rheumy decided to add Methotrexate, I could not handle it at all.

Thanks for the info. Dr changed my pain med to another NSAID from naproxen. He wants to wait 6 more weeks to give the leflunomide a chance to work. Next visit if I'm not better he will add something else.
