Blood transfusion

Has anyone ever been given blood because of anemia from bleeding? How long before you felt better.

    No.. and I can't imagine. I've been anemic a few different times and the Dr just reminded to take my iron. Now, I eat foods with iron in it and take my iron pill a couple times a week. My blood tests are good.

    Yes, i had to because i was having a hysterectomy due to a large fibroid. I definetly had more energy after and i stopped craving ice.
