No way of knowing - you would have to apply and find out. Every authority is different in their criteria and PMR and GCA are usually regarded as temporary illnesses that are well managed with pred.

Very doubtful. I discussed it with GP and she thought not. Have a go though.

They rely a lot on how far you can walk. My sister in law had to have an assessment even. I don't think all councils require one though.

I would doubt it as it is normally awarded for a permanent disability though it would do no harm to apply. I know they have tightened up the rules because the badge has been abused in the past. You could ask for a copy of the criteria before applying.

If you applied for a blue badge it would have to be accompanied by a DLA or PIP Award. Perhaps you should apply for either of the above first if your GCA is having an adverse affect on your day to day living...

I think if you are OK to not need one any more they tell you to let them know and you hand them back. A friend had one for a year after a new hip. They only last for three years anyway.
