blue fingernails ?

Sorry not sure what category to put this on.A few days ago i went a jog then took my dog a walk.It was raining the full time.I came back and sat for 10 minutes before changing out of my wet clothes.I noticed my fingernails went blue/grey on and off for about 10 minutes.I took ages to heat up too which is unusual for me.Last night the were more of a purple colour and quite sore/tingly at times feeling like it would feel if i tied something round my finger.Tonight they are normal colour, slightly purple at times on some nails (when you look closely for a while) and dull achy pain on my fingers/nails every little while.I have social anxiety so cant go to doctors.Just wondering what people think it could be.For a few days before it happens i had been feeling dizzy so i really think it is just aneamia but does this sound normal if it was that? There are no medical conditions at all in my family. No scary stories please..

    Hi lauraxx,

Do you want that your nails were changing colors while you say there staring at them or they were just a diff color?

I have iron deficiency and before I even knew it was an ongoing thing, I noticed my toenails were a grayish blue. Asked several doctors and said it was nothing to worry about. I didn't have any dull achy feelings in my fingers like you so I can't tell you what that is. Then I was diagnosed with the iron deficiency. I had also been dizzy on and off, so it came and went.

I've noticed now that my fingernails have the same grayish bluish color that my toes have but they don't ache.

I know you said you have social anxiety but have you ever been to the doctor at all within the year for anything?

Thanks for the reply.I just looked down at them and they were a blue/grey colour for a few minutes then went normal and happened a few more times and after about 10 minutes just stayed purplish colour for the next day,now normal with a hint of purple on a few of them.I am thinking more iron defficiancy.Have been searching the internet and i know with caral tunnel syndrom, you have tingly/achy fingers/hands/wrists and fingernails can turn colour. My toes are fine. No, i have never been to the doctors but think i will get them out for a blood test at least if still sore by wednesday.
