Hi Ravyn, I too had blurred vision, difficulty concentrating and reading. I also had difficult processing conversations and information. All this has gone away with time.
Hang in there. Try to be patient and not to stress as much as possible! Pushing is what got most of us into this horrible place and It will keep us if we can't relax, reduce stress and stop pushing ourselves. Looking back I realize about the only thing I could really have done to help my recovery would have been more acceptance of my circumstances, relaxed, stopped pushing, setting goals and expectations while believing I would get well!
Prayers Rhonda

Rhonda gives some great advice there, I do know that brain fog and issues with concentration, etc, can be a very frightening symptom that comes with mono, but remember it does pass and things like B complex vitamins really help with this kind of thing, as does other herbs like gingko biloba.
Hang in there as Rhonda says just take things one day at a time.

Hi
I'm at 9 weeks with tge mono virus and experienced the blurred vision, disorientation and unable to focus or concentrate initially. This began to lessen about 3 weeks ago but can come and go now though not as quite severe.
I couldn't explain myself properly or take in conversations around me. I found concentration exhausting even for conversations.
Hang in there and reach out to this community there is a lot of understanding and fantastic advice on self care. I'm still a way off from being "better" but slowly improving as long as go gently and rest a lot. Take care

Hey Karen and Catherine,
Just wanted you to know I'm thinking about you, and remember how tough it was after around 2-3 months. These are some of the hardest days because the intensity is still there and you feel you've been put through the mill emotionally, physically and mentally. Just want to reassure that this phase does pass, what you're going through now Karen is the worst and the intensity will lessen and life will become more liveable again, until you get to the stage of complete recovery - that will happen absolutely I believe that.
Hang in there too and just take things each day as it comes - it's all I'm doing too with a few other issues I'm having at the moment. Trusting God to bring healing to everyone on the forum and reading the posts.
