Blurred vision

its been a few yrs now i have blurred vision on and off during the day. sometimes its so bad i have to close my blurred eye. ive done all tests and all are normal. i dont have a dry eye either. my eeg showed some abnormalities in the occipital region but not enough to be diagnosed with epilepsy. ive been given antidepressants, antimigraine meds,etc..nothing stopped it. im gonna have a 24hr eeg and a speciliased pet scan in 6 months. could this blurryness still be epilepsy?

Hi Tiana , I'm no expert but your problems could be NEAD . This can give all sorts of weird and debilitating symptoms many are similar to epilepsy . Most EEG and scans will determine whether it is epilepsy or NEAD either of them can give conflicting results and some Doctors / specialists usually don't treat NEAD with medication , they don't often follow up patients either which leaves many of us in limbo .
I hope you don't feel upset or sad about this , as just being correctly diagnosed is better than not knowing . There are many of us just like you on this forum who will try to help if we can even if it's just a tiny bit of support .
Many best wishes from Janet .

I've been diagnosed with epelipsy and my vision is constantly blurred. My vision also seems to change very often during the day. Sometimes my glasses allow me a clear vision and other times every thing is just a blur.
I have also had almost all of the tests you have had. I'm wondering if they missed something on my MRI/EEG scans as all of the njuries I sustain during an epileptic seizure are all on the R side.
Stay strong, you are doing everything you can. I feel sure after you've had the 24hr EEG and pet scan the correct diagnosis will follow. Please let know how you get along. 💜

did the docs say your blurred eyesight is possibly related to epilepsy?
i do have a brain lesion but they didnt pay much attention to it. the eeg was not 100% normal but not epileptic either..its like when you try to get the glass of water to drink and you cant reach it

My Neuro does feel that my blurry vision is related to epilepsy. He's also raised concern's about why my vision changes so dramatically throughout the day. A second MRI and EEG are being arranged.
If you Google www.epilepsy.com >forum> eye problems you'll find many many threads relating to epilepsy and eye problems.
