Blurred vision, but eye doctor said eyes are perfect!!!

Hi there,

I was hoping someone might help me. I have having blurred vision for the last while, I went to the optician and he said all was perfect that he would refer me to specialist.  The specialist also cannot find cause, that I am scoring perfect in every test she done. I also had an MRI brain and that was clear also. I got tested for Lymes disease but that blood test came back clear too. I have been having sensory problems too on my thigh, face and arm. I am not weak with it just the skin feels funny.

The consultant in the hospital said that she doesnt think its MS ,which was one of the reasons the GP referred me in to the hospital.

2 weeks later I am none the wiser.

I would very much appreciate anyones views on this.

Kindest regards

Aisling

Thanks Jess, I saw that alright, but I have got lots of blood tests done over th course of the weeks. Would that be picked up on them?

No apparently not I also had blood tests that came back clear one was even checking for any inflammation, it was until I went to eye causality that they told me it was quite clear to them it was viral which is harder to detect, might be worth suggesting it just Incase smile

My husband has blurry vision only in one eye for over a year and he also passed his eye test with flying colors. Doctor just told him to use eye drops, prob dry eyes but it doesn't help at all. Would be nice to see people's opinions or if they know what could be there problem. He's also had MRIs of the brain n all, all looks normal. Thanks

Do you feel it after long working hours in front of computer screen or usually its blurry?

I went through the same thing as you. I went to the eye doctor certain that I would come out with a recommendation for glasses, but he said everything was normal. The diagnosis he gave me was dry eyes.

Since then I have been using a lubricant eye drops that he prescribed and I have felt an improvement.

Now, try to observe if your vision gets blurry after a long time in front of the computer/cell phone screen, because for me at least, this contributes.

    Hi Aisling.

    Have the figured it out?

I'm experiencing very similar symptoms. seeing a neurologist next week... all my bloods are normal. except low ferritin....MRI in brain and neck clear. Ophthalmologist cleared me for any eye issues. its driving me crazy and effecting my mental health.

its easier for me to see when im in the car and i can clearly see my face in the mirror.

    So bizzare 😔

    Hi Aisling,

I'm experiencing very similar symptoms, I get blurry vision, and an intense feeling within the body that I have to 'shudder'/'spasm'/'twitch' to relieve the feeling, also numbness and tingling in fingers and toes...

All tests (including MRI) come back indicating everything is normal???

I'm at a loss; any info that has assisted yourself would be greatly appreciated.

Hopefully you're feeling better and have received some answers....

    Stay smiling,

    Cheers

      Hi Donna,

how are you now? I unfortunately don't have any advice I can offer but I am in the same situation. I went and had an exam and my eyes are 100% healthy. My doctor gave me steroid drops and wants me back in a week. So far it hasn't helped. I am so worried my vision will never be normal again!
