Blurred vision freaking me out! Please help!

So the thing is I'm 20 female , a computer science and engineering Student. Although I'm being anxious for like 2 years(not taking any medication), I had experienced blurred vision for like 1 or 2 seconds sometimes but it usually go away. Also I'm myopic. I wear -2.25 glasses since the age of 15. Today when I was working on my laptop suddenly my vision got blurry and it lasted for like 10-15 seconds and it freaked me out and I ran into the state of panic. I searched for it and all the red flags came up which even aggravated my panic. I'm working on a project(I'm in university) and can't go home for like 2 more weeks. I'm afraid that I'll lose my vision. I am also having short blurred vision symptoms for like 1-2 seconds even now. I also have a slight pressure in my forehead.

Any positive assurance would be highly appreciated.

This could be dry eye as it will blur your vision especially when using the computer or watching tv. When we use the computer, tv read etc we do not blink as often causing dryness. I would recommend at those times reminding yourself to blink. Also you can get over the counter lubricating eyedrops. I personally like Retaine but many people like Systane or Refresh also. Just for your peace of mind if it were Cataracts, Macular degeneration or Glaucoma your vision would not get better, it would stay blurry. Hope this helps.

Thanks a lot k51095. That was really assuring. My blurred vision is not persistent it usually occurs at short moments and some days there's no blurred vision at all and other days are worst.

Only an eye checkup by an Optometrist or an Ophthalmologist can assure you that nothing serious or confirm otherwise.

Have you been skipping meals, to save time working on your project? Eat a balance diet, take fish oil and/or flaxseed.

Hi. Thanks for replying. Yeah I had been missing breakfast for 3 days now. And I'm a vegetarian so can't really take fish oil. I'll try to take flaxseeds though.

Oh that's bad. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Boil a dozen eggs, eat 2 every morning and whenever you are hungry. Yolks are good for your eyes.

Don't tell me you can't eat eggs too. Sigh!
