Blurred Vision (Temporary - hours)

Anyone else wake up sometimes to really blurred vision?
It is really difficult to type this at the moment as I really cannot read the screen well at all.
Occasionally, though it seems more frequently now, i wake up with really blurred vision, especially in my right eye. Over hours it seems to go, such that by mid-afternoon or evening it can be back to normal.
I have reported this to my ophthalmologist but he tells me he can see nothing wrong, though to be fair there has been nothing wrong when I have been examined. He also tells me that my right eye is the good one which is odd as that is the one giving the most trouble.
Dr does not seem that interested.
This is really beginning to worry me as it seems to be getting worse and more frequent.

Unfortunately this happens to me too. I have had my eyes tested and all they can see wrong is I have dry eye. I have drops for it. Sometimes my eye or eyes really burn and run, but it’s just the dry eye.
There are so many different facets to this illness. I’m constantly learning.
Take care.

I've got blurred vision usually AM with glasses on or off. Doesn't happen every day. The most bothersome is the start of Iritis. Blurry and sometimes painful. That happens every 2-3 months. I've had meds do that also. Hope you find cause.

There's an eye disease associated with AS called Uevitis. It's inflammation of the eyes. My rheumatologist confirmed my inquiry and I'm going to an ophthalmologist to be tested for any type of eye disease.
I'm having loss of vision, blurring, pain in my eyes, light sensitivity, and darkening of vision.

Hi Ridley, I think many of us have this problem, mine got so bad that I was carrying a box of tissues around with me all the time to wipe my eyes. Then some friends of mine from Australia bought me a new key board which has large letters and they are also colored either blue red or white which are lit up. You can change the colors till you find one that's right for you. I love it so much and it's made my vision so much better. Do try it, you will find that it works so well. Hugs to you. G

Thanks for this.
I wonder why the Dr's haven't mentioned it could be related.
I thought ulvitis resulted in a red eye?
Not sure about the tissues, my eyes don't weep when they are blurry.
How can you tell if you have, dry eye?

The eye Dr. did all the normal tests on my eyes. I honestly don’t know if tests showed something or if it was my description of the symptoms. I don’t get the extremely red eyes, I don’t have problems with light. Sometimes I just feel like there are grains of sand in my eye/eyes and it hurts and my eye/eyes run. It usually lasts on and off for a day or two. It just shows up, I never get a warning. I use the eye drops when it happens.
