I started my shingles last October and had my left eye involvement the week after Christmas. I have had blurry vision in my left eye for the last 6 weeks. On Prednisone drops 4x daily. Just in the last two days it has cleared a little. Hope this continues. I too would like to know how long it will take. Hope yours clears up quickly.

I had shingle 6 weeks ago, on my face some on my bottom eye lid.

my eye is still not right, I have a 3 aptment with the eye specialist in May.

had 2 lots of antivirals and 3 lots of drops, but I think a lot is to do with the nerves until they calm down I think blurred vision will be troublesome.

    Nasty illness and very painful

    hope you get better soon

I had shingles in my right eye, on forehead and head and I also had blurred vision and had to get a friend to drive me to my eye appointments for a while, Don't worry as this does go off in time, it's horrible I know and I even got double vision at one point. It's 2 years ago now and I still have itching in and around my eye but that is because I had it really badly and my forehead became re infected so it was horrid, I took anti virals early but it didn't stop the PHN, I wish you luck as I know the eye is the worst place to have shingles!

Thank you for the information. Yes it is very worrisome with the eye involved. Blurry vision and bad headaches. What medicine drops did you use? Again thanks and I am glad you are doing well.
