Blurryness in right eye which comes and goes multiple times per day for 3 years

Posted , 6 users are following.

Ive had eye tests all these years, but nothing showed up. They tried migraine pills, drops for dry eye, nothing worked.

My right eye only, it sees blurry for a few seconds many times per day. Does anyone know what it might be or what might help it? I work with numbers so its really tricky sometimes

hi..I had a Pvd 10 weeks ago in my right eye....I had one in my left eye 3 yrs ago... it has left me with floaters which also has like jelly tails....

Possibly it's PVD (Posterior Vitreous Detachment). Google the term or do a search for it on here to learn more. It's like having a very large floater that won't seem to go away.

Very annoying, but not a serious condition. I've had it in one eye for about 6 months now. When it started, I went to my optometrist. He said that there is little if anything that can be done about it. He did say that as time went on my brain would compensate for some of the blurriness, which in fact has happened. It comes and goes, sporadically. Shaking my head slightly one time does at least seem to move the PVD piece out of my line of sight for a bit. Nothing else seems to help.

I agree,I have the same thing, probably from the change in the vitreous gel in the eye,it can get unnerving and annoying. I have also had a PVD in that eye,I also have something called MGD,its related to the glands along the rim of your lid being obstructed or producing bad quality of oil . You can Google MGD eye and read about it.

hi.its very annoying....although I know it is ok...I still get anxious as I never had it in the left eye my first pvd..and the floaters were bad ..the right eye have no floaters only one..but every couple of days I get the foggyness....it's like looking through dirty water...prob because I am with debris the pvd makes and as you say the vitrious like water....it should settle....I hope🙄

I too have floaters and fuzzy areas that get in the way and cause intermittent blurry vision. I also have 'dry eye' and this also causes intermittent blurry vision. Drops help the dry eye but over the day build up a film which causes a stubborn blurriness. I find that a daily saline bath using an eye bath clears this film.

I make up a bottle of saline using boiled tap mains water and common cooking salt.

talk with the ophthalmologist and talk with opticians. Optrex may help or clean water eye wash. Moorfields eye hospital may help in London. RNIB and local enabled visual centre. Is this macular degeneration of the eye wet or dry seek specialist support.
