Hi there , I've had fibromyalgia for 14yrs & recently been told m .e . also !!! I have every pain on your list & thought that was fibro ? But if you look at the symptoms of both there's a big cross over of symptoms !!  It's the fatique that has worsened over yrs to a point that I've gone back to a rhymatologist (  not again !!!!!). & start the whole proses again but you must make a list of how you are feeling & include everything  ( even if you don't want to !!). The more questions you can ask the more information you can get !!  I wish you all the best take care dawn x

pain side is its sister fibromyalgia .

cbt is s chat for 4-6 visits which does help 80% of cases- but b4 u go make a list on what u want them to deal with . mood.sleep.pain. coping with cfs etc .

doctors sooner give out anti depression tablets which some it works . and  could cause more sleep problems etc to do with them tablets.

doctors on cfs are ltd info to this syndrome,

Hi amethystbex. From what I've experienced, limited-granted!!, the aches and pains are normal. I have joint and muscle pain which can get very bad. I don't really have much else to add but you definitely aren't alone. I feel ANCIENT. I use the word 'granny' a lot. It is horrible but you're not alone. I know that probably doesn't help but it is worth remembering. Hope you're taking care.

Yep! For me it started with just ankles and lower legs, then after about a year or so the tiredness and lack of energy, then the upper body especially upper arms, shoulders and neck. I'm 40 something feeling like going 140 something some days! Also as Peter said, hot baths are amazing therapy! Good luck cheesygrinJK

This cfs makes us all question our sanity !!( is it in my head ??) truth is its loads of symptoms different on different days depending on so many things & differ person to person !!! That's why it so hard to be understood even by those closest to us !!  when I have to explain myself these days  ( As apposed to how I used to by giving hour long lectures to people & visibly see them glaze over & make the first available reason to leave me ) I just say if Pain were blue  you'd be looking at a smurf & you'd be surprised how many of us smurfs there are out there !!! Please be assured your not alone ! Take care all dawn x
