Body and head feels heavy? How do I fix this?

Hi everyone, for the past 4-5 days my body has felt heavy when I walk, and my head feels heavy even while sitting. My muscles don't actually feel weak, I am able to lift things just as fine as I was before and all that, just my body feels HEAVY.
It feels like there are weights attached to all my limbs and I'm being weighed down to the ground and it's really freaking me out.
I think maybe it is from lack of sleep? For over a week now I haven't been able to sleep well at all.. The first few days i suddenly was not able to sleep at all.. now I am only sleeping like 2 hours a night and it doesn't feel restful at all.. I mostly just lay there trying to sleep but sleep never comes.. it feels like my brain refuses to shut off and makes me anxious because then I think something is wrong with my brain but I know my brain is fine since I've never had issues before..
I went to the doctor and they told me that it's just my anxiety and stress and that I need to eat more and sleep..
They checked my heart, it's fine. I haven't had any chest pains or anything so no it isn't heart related.. They also did a blood test and everything came back normal, including my thyroid, which i've read that hyperthyroidism is a cause of heavy feeling but since my thyroid is normal, it isn't that.. My blood pressure was excellent as well and I haven't had any fevers or anything..
Does anyone have any similar experiences with anxiety causing this?? How do I fix this? And how do I get some sleep?? I've tried everything but sleep just won't come and it's making me even worse.. Sleep should be easy but suddenly it's so difficult for me..
Please tell me how to get rid of this heavy feeling. I am only a recently turned 20 year old and this is really ruining my life right now.. I have so many things I want to do and it's hard to even be happy every day because I feel like no one understands me.. When your body doesn't feel right everyday it's not just anxiety to you, it's so real and scary and I just want to feel normal again and live life!!!!

Yup. It's definitely your anxiety, your stress and DEFINITELY, the lack of sleep. I've been there and I know the heavy head and body feeling. It's because of all the things that are currently happening to you, it's taking a toll on your body. Stop stressing about it. All you really need is rest and a break from it all. Have you tried anything that helps with sleep? I heard Benadryl is really good. It's an allergy medication but is also a great sleep aid. But go to the doctors for recommendations.

Hi! Thanks for your reply! I'm happy to know I'm not alone in this.. It's just weird because mentally I don't even feel tired anymore, just my entire body feels tired.. I tried taking benadryl but it makes me feel dizzy and my head feel heavier and it freaks me out even more so I can't sleep
I've tried drinking chamomile tea, which works for me to get to sleep, but I still wake up like 30 mins to an hour later and then just lay there and lay there.. I've tried listening to relaxing sounds like rain and it makes me really relaxed but still no luck falling asleep!! I feel like I'm going insane here.. I've never had trouble sleeping before so I really don't know how to fix this. I wish I could just knock myself out tbh.

Ask your doctor for a week supply of sleeping pills. And SLEEP for at least 8-9hours each night.
When my anxiety was bad years ago this worked for me. Helped me settle back into a routine of sleeping well. And I also bought these herbal pills called "kalms". I don't need them now coz I sleep like a baby but used to take them each time my anxiety flared up in the past

You’re not alone I’m currently experiencing something similar. Can’t stay sleep through the night no matter how hard I try, body be feeling weird, lip muscles be twitching head stay hurting, can’t think straight, catch myself in a daze, be too tired to eat, nerves be bad and the list goes on 😩 it’s the worst. Haven’t been to the doctor yet but I’ll be making an appointment.

It could be also the way your body is responding to melatonin
Sometimes if you don't have enough, you might develop insomnia
