I have a boil that developed on top of the scar from my hip replacement that I had 8 years ago and it is not healing. i have had cultures taken and there is no bacteria. I am suppose to see the orthopedic surgeon but i can't get in until mid December. Has anyone had something similar?

Kim ..yikes that's a new one.. never heard of a boil/skin abscess on scar tissue and no bacteria . I hope it not painful.Some times diet can be a issue. i googled causes and found other reasons for them to show up maybe it can help .
can your regular doc treat it until...
