Borax for Lichen Sclerosus

I just purchased some Borax to help with the white plaque around my vulva caused by LS and I'm having a hard time getting the Borax to dissolve in water. How long does this usually take?

Hi Ashley, you mix the borax with water and stir.  When you have residu left in the bowl it has absorbed all that it will.  Pour the liquid into a spray bottle...not the granules.  This works...I have seen improvement already.  Good luck!

Thank you so much! I thought the residue at the bottom was supposed to dissolve as well.

I usually boil the water and about 10 minutes later pour over and shake. Dissolves straight away.

Heat up your water first. I mix 2 cups at a time. Heat 1/2 cup to boiling then add borax and baking soda and mix. Once dissolved add rest of water. I always shake before each use

I missed the part about how much borax and how much baking soda to add. Can you please fill me in?

Is it normal for borax treatments to be causing more pain ? I've been wanting to use it for fusing but it seems to make my skin way more sensitive and raw feeling.

You may be using a bit too much borax.  I use a small squirt bottle and put in ht water till about a 1/4/ filled, then add the tip of a spoon full of borax, then shake, till it dissolves, do over till the bottle is nearly full.  NO LUMPS, just the granulars added.  It should be completly mixed up at this point, the warm or hot ater helps dissolve the borax.  After 3 years of using other things I have calmed everythin down at this point and my gyno who took the Biopsy said it loked clear all but the top area.  I worked on that and it is back to normal now.  Although I don't know what is normal for 80 years old anymore.  Good luck.
